Privacy Policy

Omi Connect ("we", "our", "the app") is a voice control integration for Tesla vehicles, built for the Omi AI wearable. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

What We Collect

• Your Omi user ID — provided by the Omi platform when you install the app. Used to link your Tesla account to your Omi device.
• Tesla OAuth tokens — encrypted access and refresh tokens that authorize us to send commands to your vehicle. We never store your Tesla password.
• Vehicle ID and VIN — required to send commands to the correct vehicle.
• Command usage count — to enforce the free tier limit (50 commands/month).
• Voice transcripts — we receive transcripts from Omi to detect commands. We do not store transcripts. They are processed in memory and discarded immediately.

What We Do NOT Collect

• Your name, email, or personal identity
• Your location or driving history
• Audio recordings
• Any data beyond what is listed above

How We Protect Your Data

• Tesla tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256 before being written to disk.
• All communication uses HTTPS/TLS.
• OAuth state tokens expire after 10 minutes.
• We do not share your data with any third party except Tesla (to execute your commands) and Omi (to send you notifications).

Data Retention

Your data is stored for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us. Deleting the app from Omi does not automatically delete your stored tokens — please contact us to purge your data.

Third-Party Services

• Tesla Fleet API — commands are sent to Tesla's servers on your behalf.
• Omi API — notifications are delivered through Omi's platform.

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted at this URL. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
